About Me

Hello! Welcome to the official website of New York City based actress Emily Bronner.

I'm originally from Florida and I moved out to New York City after high school to study acting. I received a few scholarships to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA). I have since graduated and received acting training for both film and theater. After graduating, I went on to study with Anthony Abeson. I am now taking the professional level classes at MN Acting Studio and am coaching for auditions with Matt Newton.

I have taken Sketch 101, Sketch 201 and Improv 101 at UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade)

My latest short film is called "A Favor For a Friend" and previous to that, I was in "The Ride", the festival nominated film "#Anatomy of the Romantic Comedy", and I wrote the short film that I star in called "Twenties", as well as more short films and sketch comedy.

People like to compare me to the Netflix original series character Kimmy Schmidt. It's hard to tell whether it's a compliment or an insult so, let's go with compliment. They also say that I'm bubbly, sweet, and sassy (most likely due to being half Cuban).

My favorite types of tv shows are quirky comedies such as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and New Girl, ensemble sitcoms such as Friends and Parks and Recreation, and shows that make me both laugh and cry like Jane The Virgin. One show that I would love to be on that's new is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

In terms of film, I would love to do coming of age films such as LadyBird and The Edge of Seventeen. I also love RomComs like Set It Up and dramadies like Silver Linings Playbook.

For theater, my dream is to play Abigail Williams in the Crucible and Jessica in This Is Our Youth. I would also enjoy playing Grace in Really Really and anything written by Christopher Durang.

So many goals, so many dreams... let's make it happen!

Thanks for reading. I appreciate you!
